"Michael J. Totten":http://www.michaeltotten.com/ - blog of a freelance journalist (among other things) who until recently lived in Beirut. Having spent a lot of time among ordinary Lebanese and Israelis (and is on "not so good terms with Hezbollah":http://www.laweekly.com/news/news/guess-whos-coming-to-iftar/42/), Totten writes about the current Israel/Hezbollah conflict from a first hand perspective that's impossible to get from mainstream media outlets. Be sure to read "Everything Could Explode at Any Moment":http://www.michaeltotten.com/archives/001132.html. Very interesting stuff.

Radio Silence

Well, I didn't intend to take 3 months off from blogging - but I do have some good excuses. Since the last time I posted anything around here, we have:

Bought a house.

Gone on vacation the week after buying said house.

Moved into said house the week after going on vacation.

Resolved never to go on vacation again while buying a house (vacation was nice though).

Painted half of said house.

So, needless to say it's been a busy few months around here - and we're nowhere near being done. Next on our list is to have a baby, which should happen sometime in the next 2 - 3 weeks. That should make things even more interesting ;-)
